Tales of The Distorted Mirror

Oh Lord what a fool I was
To stand in front of the mirror
I thought I had command
With good thoughts and deeds
And I asked How can I be better

How wrong was I, to be so blind
So lost, so self-delivered
I took away from you
What you would have me do
Causing me to shake and shiver

I tried good works
Sought out all the perks
Thought that I could do something to please you
I had it wrong, wrong all along
Reflections in distorted mirrors

Now I have grown a bit, I have learned to sift
Through my own misunderstanding
You have opened my mind
Now I am simply inclined
To ask what is your will
