I throw my strength into the wind,
And in my weakness enter in.
Not by my own ways can I win,
I am a man in world of sin.
I have worked my whole life through,
And gathered many things its true.
Yet, what I have is not my own,
You have provided from Your throne.
I look upon the road I’m on,
I realize I’ve wandered wrong.
Yet I know enough to ask of You,
Guide me with Your perfect Truth.
As I face the heat of life,
As I confront each new fight.
I look to You Father to cover me,
I am your child and it’s You I need.
I love You Lord for who You are,
It’s really that simple and nothing more.
It seems so often, I lose my way,
I seek Your grace each and every day.
