That Old Red Courthouse, Dallas town
Sitting in the lobby just a feeling down
Old red courthouse, how you’ve done me wrong
I asked for justice, you make me wait so long
I asked for truth, you gave me lies
I asked for hope, you made me cry
One of these days’ boys, I won’t be found
Of courts and lawyers, I won’t be around
Gotta catch a train, I’m freedom bound
I’m gonna get out of this Dallas town
I’ve got the Old Red Courthouse blues
You took my life, left me in ruins
